I’ve been convinced that no one actually lives in a Real City, and every person’s home address is located in a suburb named after an English town, a Confederate general, or a city Back East. Sorry, I meant to say “I’ve convinced myself.”

Why is it so hard for me and so easy for everyone else, to be someplace good?

I have to make a decision very soon about where to go, and I’m very scared that I won’t be able to survive anywhere that isn’t a shitty redneck town.

After all, no one actually LIVES in Philadelphia or Chicago, they all commute from the surrounding cornfields, right?
